Forget cake, jam doughnuts are far more healthy for you

No I can quite happily leave those, probably as we used to sneak off to the high street from school to buy them each day (13p I think). Somehow these days they never live upto the illicit memory.

I bought a bag of doughnuts the other day from the co-op but didn't feel guilty about scoffing the lot as they were tiny.

I do not like Jaffa cakes, but I can imagine that home-baked ones are in a different league altogether.

After the "Great British Bake Off", I watched the "Chronicles of Nadiya". I know that was filmed in Bangladesh, but as I lived in India for four years when I was very young, I found that fascinating.

Of course, I assume everyone apart from Paul Hollywood knew the correct etiquette to enjoy a Jaffa cake

Never heard of a monsoon cake, but cake is one of my big downfalls... (Equivalent to @potsy and kebabs!), though it has to be home made to be really tempting! (Not necessarily by me, just not made in a factory).

I'm wondering how you do a mirror glaze, that could be my challenge for this week!

One doesn't dunk cake in drinks

There has been a study following squabbling over VAT classification. If a disputed cake/biscuit item goes soft after a few days, it's a biscuit. If it goes hard, it's cake.
