I had a better night last night. Mind you I took quite a bit more morphine...
Got through to 1am before I was woken first time around... getting out of bed was hard but easier than the night before because we have temporarily changed sides of bed. I decided that since I have to roll on to my side to get up because of my back and leg and the paralysis etc, that I would roll onto the side that didn't reduce me to tears each time I tried. Lying down left me in tears for a good 15 mins before the pain went away. Then I made it to 4am and stayed in bed, just turned the electric blanket back on. then 5am and finally was woken by my OH's alarm at 6am.
I have been made to promise not to do anything today. I'm not certain what exactly he thinks he is eating when he gets home or how he is to clear the crap of the veranda, lay the fire after removing all of the ash, hoover the kitchen and back 2 bedrooms (and this includes the ceiling - just don't ask), dust these rooms, clean the cooker down, change the linen on our bed, the towels and t-towels all the way around the house, clear the tables, tidy the sitting room and plant several plants, plus earth up the potatoes all between 6pm and 10pm. Oh and there is the studio to get clean as well - hoover and lay a fire in there. Plus I need all the plants bringing back in off because another frost is forecast overnight. We had one last night as well. And colour in the polyfilla in the fireplace so it doesn't show that we have not used fire cement (its the back in our room). And the rugs all need to be put through the washing machine....
On the bright side, I feel a touch better and its a nice day which means the sun room will be nice and warm and sitting down doing nothing in the warmth and shade will be very nice. I may even get as far as the hammock on the veranda if I can lift it off the shelf it is on in the wardrobe, but sadly I can't shower yet because the hole in my leg is not yet waterproof and I have no waterproof dressing. Can't win them all, but my hair does need washing... somehow. It may have to be done outside where I can get the floor wet without a problem. Cold rinse then I guess under the hose! <brrrr>
