Henry has a particularly ripe bottom odour on occasions.

It must be a boy thing because Sasha only ever smells of roses and sweet peas.
Yeah right, I bet you never fart too.

This morning I joined battle with the insurance company's, yes my home insurance is due, I hate this annual performance with the insurance, it ain't been that long since I went through the same performance with the car insurance.

I had a better night last night. Mind you I took quite a bit more morphine...
Got through to 1am before I was woken first time around... getting out of bed was hard but easier than the night before because we have temporarily changed sides of bed. I decided that since I have to roll on to my side to get up because of my back and leg and the paralysis etc, that I would roll onto the side that didn't reduce me to tears each time I tried. Lying down left me in tears for a good 15 mins before the pain went away. Then I made it to 4am and stayed in bed, just turned the electric blanket back on. then 5am and finally was woken by my OH's alarm at 6am.

I have been made to promise not to do anything today. I'm not certain what exactly he thinks he is eating when he gets home or how he is to clear the crap of the veranda, lay the fire after removing all of the ash, hoover the kitchen and back 2 bedrooms (and this includes the ceiling - just don't ask), dust these rooms, clean the cooker down, change the linen on our bed, the towels and t-towels all the way around the house, clear the tables, tidy the sitting room and plant several plants, plus earth up the potatoes all between 6pm and 10pm. Oh and there is the studio to get clean as well - hoover and lay a fire in there. Plus I need all the plants bringing back in off because another frost is forecast overnight. We had one last night as well. And colour in the polyfilla in the fireplace so it doesn't show that we have not used fire cement (its the back in our room). And the rugs all need to be put through the washing machine....

On the bright side, I feel a touch better and its a nice day which means the sun room will be nice and warm and sitting down doing nothing in the warmth and shade will be very nice. I may even get as far as the hammock on the veranda if I can lift it off the shelf it is on in the wardrobe, but sadly I can't shower yet because the hole in my leg is not yet waterproof and I have no waterproof dressing. Can't win them all, but my hair does need washing... somehow. It may have to be done outside where I can get the floor wet without a problem. Cold rinse then I guess under the hose! <brrrr>

Like the pioneer days. The rooster didn't wake you? They always used to get up extry special early and practice before they actually crowed, in concert with the dawn chorus.

I'm tapping on a Samsung laptop. I have a bucket of water and a bucket of sand nearby just in case it starts playing up, and smouldering.

Where have you been over the weekend, I'm on nights and it's been like a ghost town here. There's normally you and classic to provide a new post per hour to get excited about...
