Even if the words had been originally used by someone else, reformatting them sotto voce style does not make them acceptable as a non-sequiteur to your fireworks observation.

I too thought your comment about terrorists was ill judged and perhaps you should have deleted it when Potsy first challenged you. Digging your heels in and throwing personal insults at Vernon does not endear you to your fellow forum members.
