I bought a dozen pork pies to share with my colleagues and I gave mine away because I was feeling unwell after eating a nondescript curry in one of the branches of a Bradford based Indian restaurant chain.

Actually hope you're soon feeling better.

After a month without a ride, I've lost a lot of motivation and so tonight I joined the dark side again and went for a run for the first time in 3 years!! Couldn't be bothered with faffing around in the dark, getting the bike out of the shed, etc.

Only 1.2 miles, bloody hard work, always gasping for breath when I run, unlike cycling.

T'was awful. I've had a bland omelette for my evening meal. I still have an aversion to savoury things but manfully downed a mini mince pie for pudding.

I should be able to sleep off the malady and visit the pie shop for a personal supply of pie tomorrow.

I brushed our cat earlier and removed a lot of loose fur.

For the past few years a supplier has sent the materials manager a huge block of parmesan cheese, it is put in the company Christmas raffle. The guy who won it last year sold it for £10.00 ( he clearly had no idea what it was or how much it was worth) and pocketed the money much to the annoyance of a lot of people who felt he should have given it to the charity we had the raffle for, this year it has been decided that it is being cut into chunks so it will be a few prizes instead of 1 big one.

Blimey this takes me back a bit . Being an eideteker, I seem to remember the astronauts were Kaminsky, Hunter and Whitehead .... The latter being my surname. He was a Peter but I'm a Shaun my best mate was Jeremy Hunter, whose sister I think has a hand in Cliff Pratt Cycles bike shop in Hull. Spooky.

I've finished decorating the house with lights and garland, twice. The first time, I put the lights and garlands at the edge of the gutters, but the wind has been blowing a hoolie here today, and I had to redo it, so I mounted the whole setup directly to the house, so it doesn't catch as much wind. I'm now preparing to have a french bread pizza for supper. Our bicycle club is meeting this evening, but I don't feel very well, and can't make it. I'm hoping I don't get made chairman because I don't show up.
I had the flu, and got put on vestry, once.
