When we went over to see our son today we decided to use the bus, we both have free passes, what a palaver, an hour and two buses each way, the car takes twenty minutes each way.

So, how does it feel not to go back to work in January. You lucky git.

The favourite name for a boy is Henry at the moment. This could change though !

First day back andI don't feel as though we have been away, just got straight back into it, nothing has changed, endless slobber about football, my colleague repeatedly tutting, swearing at her computer, she and my boss both sniffing instead of blowing their noses.

On a whim, had an outing to Edinburgh Zoo today. A good choice as it turned out, it was so quiet that we were able to see one of the pandas. Normally you have to book in advance. The male granted us an audience, he was fabulous

Lovely, I've had a good day, I've been down the barbers, visited my son and his Mrs, Granddaughter was at nursery, been down the post office to pick up a parcel and spent some quality time with my good lady. Tomorrow, weather permitting I'm out on on the bike, going to meet up with some old friends I don't see very often. I've also got a turbo coming so will be working out some training routines later in the week..
