Still no cycling for the foreseeable future. Today's X-ray showed my vertebrae was healing, but need CT Scan to confirm if fused - another 6 week wait.
Lost 50% of the height to the front of the vertebrae and the cartilage is permanently damaged. Specialist hopeful it will heal without pain. The vertebrae is now wedge shaped rather than a square.
Main thing is I'm still not allowed to do any exercise.

My spine looked straight, but there was a big gap between the two vertebrae each side where the wedge shape is. The only thing I am aloud to do is lie on my tummy and lift my legs and hold them there.
Are you alowed to go to the fridge for beer and chocolate?

Yep. Screws and pins. The consultant did say it was better to 'wait' for healing at my age as it would be necessary to fuse 3 vertebrae together with rods and screws, and remove the discs.

Thats a shame, hopefully when it heals it heals without leaving you with to many long term problems.

Good strengthening exercise! We do something like that in Pilates sometimes.
