I attended a pie and cider festival earlier this year in Leeds and was underwhelmed by the limited range of nondescript pies on offer. I left without purchasing anything.

Nope. It was so disheartening to find the much vaunted 'championship' pies represented by two pie makers that I'd rated as good but not great the rest were also rans.
