I've been sleeping all afternoon building up my strength for the forthcoming assault on pastry parcels of porcine pleasure.
I passed a van today that had a sign on the back saying "no pies left in this vehicle overnight", it made me smile.

Seriously?

Yep, sadly true. He used to blow them over and under the hedge, and all the leaves from his drive onto the road in front of our house. Then, in the last year we have had regular branches chopped and thrown over. When we'd had enough and called the police for advice, they moved. The people across the road actually put up bunting.
The new neighbours are lovely and normal.

The neighbour involved, behind me, called the police and they informed him that they were his property and I had to legally return them to him.
He was less than impressed at being told this, taking it out on the female officer who'd told him.

I'm awake.
I didn't sleep well.
I had a near miss last night.
Sitting in the bathroom I felt something under my nightdress.
I put my hand there several times (4 or 5 perhaps) but couldn't find anything tickling my back.
Convinced there was something there and unable to reach it I took my nightdress off by turning it inside out and pulling it up and over my head.
There was a loud angry buzzing and something tried to attack me...

There had been a queen wasp in my nightdress and is just disturbed it!

Yuk! And I don't suppose it was easy to get back to sleep afterwards either!
