I'm not phased by it. I am close to the end of my career. There's several steps that have to be taken, I might be offered a different role at a lower pay rate, I might be made redundant, I might not be made redundant. All have equal weighting in desirability in my eyes.

I am working in a school that has recently been placed in special measures. It now appears that not only have the management lost control of the education side of the school, they have also lost control of the budget.

It's not a pleasant thing to weigh on your mind. It's the "not knowing" I think. If you can wait a good few months I shall make you a piece of stained glass! If that doesn't make you laugh, nothing will!!

I am lucky enough to not to have to worry too much about finances should the axe fall.

I have the gear to do my own stained glass stashed away in the attic. I used to teach it in an after school class twenty odd years ago.

@Fnaar fainted when Miss Goodbody revealed her Tiffany to him.

I too wondered if 'show us your tiffany' was a euphomism.

My family trade is teaching, including current heads and deputy heads. The stress, the workload, the confrontation and the assessments that they have to go through. Then when they have dealt with that they are expected to try to educate young people.
Each pronouncement from each sucessive Education Secretary seems to get more removed from reality and common sense than the last.

Lots of people don't use Outlook to its full potential. It's one piece of Micro$oft shaftware that is actually quite good...

99.9% dont use it fully !! And I am one !! It's got a good diary - can't live without thaty for work.
