First really frosty morning of the season, so now off to buy a new freezer.
In fairness that was what we had planned before finding it was frosty this morning as well.

I don't live in Scotland though... there are only about three days a year where it gets mildly white down here nearer the equator.Just put the food outside...............et voila...............save some pennies.

Last week the cd player packed up.So we had a look at a few cd players.That word few is spot on.Time and technology has left Postman behind.It did not help that Mrs Postman was holding the purse strings.So i did not like any of the models i saw.Then a brainwave.Dig out the old, old, old,get the idea.The old Sony cd player,the one i use while decorating.Still plays,so out came the cleaning cloths,wet and dry sandpaper.Off came the paint spots and marks.A good polish, a touch up of matt black laquer on the grill,he presto.A good looking cd player.

Hmmmm.
The kitchen supplier, having promised everything for last week sometime, then Friday, and then Monday (today 1230), didn't deliver much of anything. So the fitter did what he could and went home. I now have an empty room, with our 4 appliances, and one sink base unit fitted, but no sink. It's now all promised for tomorrow. Let's hope.....
I have, however, been to the recycling center with an estate car full of dismantled units and doors, and the old wall tiles, fluorescent light fittings etc. And even that involved a 20 mile diversion because of a closed road. Not one of the better starts to the week.

I went for a new freezer, we came home having ordered a new fridge freezer instead.
Entirely selfish, the current and only freezer is in the shed at the bottom of the garden - we rarely have peas when it's raining - so I talked Mrs ID into this new fangled combination thing. Excellent, peas in any weather now.
