When mine were little and moaning about walking back to our house from nursery in the evening, I used to love the Christmas lights.... It made those little legs walk faster to get to the next one!

Don't get me wrong, fairy lights are lovely I just wouldn't want them in my house for 5 weeks before and a week or 2 after.

Yep, just don't tell my mum. I will never hear the last of it, sleeping during the day is not in her vocabulary.

Oh they didn't go up in our house then.... I agree Lights don't go up proper until mid December though I do decorate the outside tree with baubles before that for the school children to enjoy!

Long ago, when I worked, I sometimes fell asleep at my desk. Now I just fall asleep.
