Morning. I over slept a bit. The sky is light grey with a few darker whispy clouds floating around. The road outside looks damp and there are some drops of water on the window.

Just checked and the yellow warning for rain is in force again from lunchtime.

It's rather lovely now and i haven't had a call from the landscapers to say they won't becoming so hopfully work will commence on Le petit Versaille very soon.

Does that mean you're also getting courtiers to help you get dressed each morning?

Looking out of the window here I can see a GWR railway coach in chocolate and cream. We missed the Torbay steam engine, a Battle of Britain class loco on Saturday although my wife heard it.

I decided to don my waterproofs before it rained.... rain radar showed I was in for a soaking.... somehow it did the magic and I almost escaped dry.... apart from the lorry going through a puddle, and the boil in the bag set up!!! I've now had a proper shower!

We are planning to go from one part of civilisation to another maybe via a coastal path we are not sure. As intrepid explorers we have packed sandwiches.

Are you taking some "before" and "after" photos? I would suggest that Henry does not need to be in every photo.

I have taken some of my tiny space. They are doing well so far and to save on a skip i have agreed to do the dump runs every day. I can't wait until they are finished as i have half of the plant shop at Hestercombe waiting to be planted as well as a load of plants from a local nursery.

I have done nothing with the garden for the last two years since i moved in due to other more pressing financial arrangements so to have a garden back to potter in this summer will be bliss.
