In other news, the grandchildren have left, my daughter's to their nearby home & son's to the wilds of Cheshire.

For some reason I always end up with a cold afterwards.

My favourite, sitting in the garden for lunch on a summers day is marvelous. We stayed overnight a couple of years ago for my birthday so I could enjoy the evening meal fully, very good, as was the breakfast. I have also taken a couple of my brothers there and one declared it one of the best meals he had ever eaten.

We may need to go back soon.

School fair was indoors today so some of the games and activities had to be cancelled but it was still a good day.

I'm going to make some Eton mess now.

2. Just got back from Shackleford village fete.
3. I bought an old Raleigh bike for £5 at the fete.
5. I left it there I couldn't be bothered to bring it home.
6. PLEASE ABSOLUTELY NO TDF SPOILERS. I sometimes don't get a chance to watch it for a few days.
