As promised :
Easy, delicious Banana Cake recipe.
It's also low fat, moist and doesn't need icing.

This recipe came from a friend who worked in Kenya back in the 70s and has been passed round so many people. I've tried numerous other banana cake recipes but always come back to this one.

Beat 6oz caster sugar with 2tbl spoons of margarine. (don't be tempted to use butter, it's not as light a result). Beat in one egg and 2 to 3 ripe bananas. (mash them first if you are doing it by hand). Fold in 6oz plain flour, 1 tea spoon bicarbonate of soda and 1 tea spoon of baking powder. Depending how many bananas you used you can add one or two table spoons of milk. Pour into an 8inch deepish( not a sandwich tin) cake tin (I usually grease the sides and line the bottom). Back at 170°C for 30 minutes. Then turn out and cool.

Enjoy.

An evil blood sucking monster.... Otherwise known as a horsefly And looks like it was minimal damage to my "frontage", only two small red marks, and the ones that managed to go exploring further into dark places seemed to have failed to get a bite!:okay:
Ahh. Yes, horse flies are vicious. I was attacked in the garden last week when we were eating outside.

Right Ginger Ninger Gingery Gin is :okay:

The ginger and the liquorice certainly add a nice something to the drink. Very warming.

@User on for Mr R to sample:smile:
