I think I may have discovered a new species of bird. It is called a Wood Duck, it closely resembles a Wood Pigeon and can usually found sitting in the bird bath where it can remain for hours if allowed too.

this is the one resident in the States.

We have 3 fish in the fish pond. We also have 3 ponds. I wasn't expecting to find fish in the most stagnant pond that was seriously lacking water when we arrived. It was also full of rubbish such as batteries, solar lights complete with rechargeable batteries, pringles can and other such junk. I was down to 2 inches of water when I realised I wasn't alone.

What sort of fish are they?

I've just finished breakfast, but it's dawn here.I shall cut the grass, but have to wait a couple of hours. Local ordinance says to keep it quiet until 8 a.m. And it's just good manners as well.

We watched an entertaining performance of The Titfield Thunderbolt last night at The Minack Theatre. It's an open air theatre on the cliffs. Superb setting. We did get a little bit rained on though, but the reversed waterproof backed picnic rug spread over us kept us dry.

There is a lovely sandy beach there although it is a bit steep, and isn't there a cable that goes under the sea ?

Well that's the conservatory roof done using the jetwash from above (stood on the scaffolding) never been as clean since they put it up. Bit of a snag though, I can see how mucky the inside is now so Maz may make me clean that.

I sometimes feel a different job would be nice, but it would be hard to replicate my current job of driving a shuttle bus. It's pretty ideal, actually.

I did one like that when I got made redundant, had to do all sorts of online tests, fill in every detail they wanted.
Then got an email a week later saying the job had been withdrawn
