I am the one who would have to explain to the FD :surrender:

I'm sure you could wrap him around your little finger.

We watched an entertaining performance of The Titfield Thunderbolt last night at The Minack Theatre. It's an open air theatre on the cliffs. Superb setting. We did get a little bit rained on though, but the reversed waterproof backed picnic rug spread over us kept us dry.

Must confess, I often end up watching the ships go past. Not been much to see when we've been down there lately tho'. Last one we saw was King Lear which my daughter was doing for A level.

There is a lovely sandy beach there although it is a bit steep, and isn't there a cable that goes under the sea ?

Porthcurno, close by. And of course there's the fascinating telegraph museum, not a small number of exhibits I actually worked on. I managed to make the eyes of a staff member glaze over while talking about the kit.

Me too. Just finished a batch of Tangy Dodgers (Tangerine instead of Jam). Nothing to do now.

Yes, it's a regular favourite. We've seen some good and some mediocre performances.

The beach has something very special about it. There's lots of white shells to collect. The colour of the sea is like nowhere else. You can see the bottom however deep you swim out. I swam round to the back of the Minack once!

We've been to the museum a couple of times. It's fascinating. There's some new stuff about fibre optics. My grandfather was in The Signals and was a radio ham so there was lots of old stuff we recognised from his 'wireless room'. Again, we knew more about some of it too.
