Ride It Like You Stole It!
Location

Been at the caravan this weekend. Managed to seal one of the drain caps properly on the caravans base. The site hadn't done it and we had sewage come up a few weeks ago. Drains were jetted but it ponged when we arrived. Case of do it yourself if you want the job doing properly. Down side was it involved climbing under the caravan, and a duly got stuck with my bad back and it took me ages to get out.

Fortunately the pong has now gone.

Bad news is I've been on the settee again and the van one is hard so my busted ribs were very sore today, so I've done nothing all day. On the settee at home as struggling again tonight despite Tramadol. Up in 6 hours. Yay...

Sorry to hear that @fossyant. I'm doing better but still struggling with the pain in my back and left leg really badly. Plus I have some new pains... I can't walk with the crutches at the moment, something amiss near to my elbows where the crutches touch the bone. I now have a very large lump on each ulnar bone and it's quite swollen and seriously sore to the point where i can't prop myself up in the bed using my arms! If I walk without the crutches though my right groin area and hip (?) hurt like h*** and my hamstrings are really tight as a result. We bought some pipe insulation this weekend and what isn't used for its intended purpose (stopping the external pipes freezing and us losing water) will find its way to my crutches i think!

Anyhow. Hi folks. Morning and all that, except it is probably the middle of the night for most of you! Still waiting on the satellite broadband to happen... Hopefully not too much longer and despite it being cold so the house is slowly getting warmer or drier but this morning was another cold one and tonight is meant to be colder still!

So I'm in the studio which is basically one of our outhouses and a portacabin aussie style. It had a fully functional pot belly stove in it and after a very cold night, an hour chopping kindling (I would love to say logs, but I only do kindling with the small axe, it's all I can manage with my back) I'm frozen, well my feet are. The rest of me has a thermal layer on and 2 thick icebreaker 260 weight tops plus my thin coat on, a buff, a woolly hat (only the thin one) and my thick woolly socks and boots... plus tracksuit bottoms...

Hot cocoa time, some internet access very slowly, and a sit in front of the now lit pot belly stove has my feet starting to thaw out. By this afternoon, I'll be in a t-shirt way too warm! There's roughly a 22C temp difference between day and night right now!

Right, today's view from the studio... Whilst I am thawing out and falling asleep, or at least would be if my back want hurting as much as it is!

And I nearly have the chook house ready for the chooks which i hope to get at the weekend!
