I didn't know that you could get a Retriever breed of cat. I was in such a rush to swop my lenses over on my camera that the dust cap fell on the kitchen floor. I noticed that Schrödinger spotted it but thought that it would be okay as it was flat and awkward to pick up. When I returned from taking pictures of the Dragonflies I spotted it had disappeared. Oh no! I thought he has probably launched it under the cooker or cupboard somewhere. I had a brief look and went to put the camera away, and there it was next to the bag. He must have picked it up and dropped it there.

There's another 2 queuing in get into the site.
This is going to be the daily occurrence for a fair old while. At least they haven't far to travel. The concrete works is at the top middle of the picture.

It is cement to start with, when you add aggregate, it becomes concrete.

Whats going in is the first part of a 21 floor tower block, next to it will be a a 10 story block.

Good call. The cement works is actually on the banks of the Quaggy River. So a pipe wouldn't be so hard to install.

It's a change of cement company too. They were previously using a different one.

Yup. Creek Road Deptford/Greenwich. You can see the Cutty Sark yard arms or what ever they're called, top left in the pic.

Thanks, I thought I recognised it - it's on the London Marathon route heading from the Cutty Sark to Surrey Docks, I think.

It is.
Blue dot is me...Star is building site, arrow is Cement Works. River Thames to the top. Greenwich to the right. The marathon follows the A200 towards Surrey Quays and Rotherhithe.

Cement is what you lay bricks with
To simplify it, cement is cement and sand. Concrete is cement, sand and aggregates
