As an alternative to slippers, which I've never worn, I'm wearing two pairs of socks. Too cold for thin socks on tiles. They're warming up now.

What about 'slipper socks' that have a bit of grip underneath?

If I see any I might well get some. I can't see myself wearing standard slippers though. Too much like string vests.

I forgot to report yesterday that the front right ring on my gas cooker wouldn't ignite.
I had to take the top bits off and give it a good blow to foof the dust off.
It works properly now.
