I am trying close the account because they want my personal information which I am not prepared to give them.

I think you can only close your account via a Web browser not the App if that's how you've been trying 🤔

I hung up, redialled and told the answering service my account had been hacked. Call answered by a human (not english and a bit difficult to understand) who helped me through the process in about 5 minutes
