Had a lovely luncheon of a sandwich filled with thinly-sliced pork belly, plus a banana, some pineapple and two :cuppa:

Veggies all cleaned, chopped up and roasting in the oven.

It is now raining.

Done nothing much all day. Knackered after a couple of busy days which I am not used to. Also too much coffee drunk which upsets my gastric reflux.
I should know better as coffee nowadays sadly does that if more than one mug per day and not every day either.
Getting old is not a bundle of fun.
The forecast heavy rain has now appeared tho’ it did rain gently all day. Forecast gale has not appeared here either so far but perhaps is further north.
The gismos around the car door keyhole have appeared and been fitted. Any garages I approached simply said it would need to be a complete door handle assembly at vast expense. There are no car breakers handy either as I used to get all sorts of bits for my cars from such sources.
Son tracked the things down on line and they fit perfectly but a small dab of glue has been used to help stop the thing falling off again.

After calling again and a bit of a ding dong with the very snotty women on reception.
I've finally nearly 5 hours late had word back from the vet The tests have yet again come back mixed, the long range bloods rule out diabetes others may show very early stage. So some need repeating, think we will book an appointment with the main vet. Times like this we'd have spoke to the head vet who is really heads above many in his field. But he no longer has a surgery he's now a full time surgeon.

Looks like we have salmon for tea 🍽️

All errands erranded.

Also ended up getting lucky on yellow sticker. Picked up 400g of ham for £1.57, three Kinnerton Ash goats cheeses (bloody lovely when very ripe!) at £1.61 each, a box with two "Finest" panna cotta & berry compote deserts (a treat) for £1.77, three packs of golden delicious apples at 52p each, a box of chocolate breakfast cereal for 40p and a litre of extra virgin olive oil for £6.50.

Tesco still had giant Lindor Easter eggs and some other assorted seasonal chocolates on a half price clearance but didn't bother.

Cat has been fed, and soon it will be time to feed me.
