Is being a Dog Person a form of cat allergy?

Can't help you with that one, as I like both. It's just that my lifestyle doesn't lend itself to having a dog, plus I'd have to make major alterations to the garden in order to make it dog-proof - fences, gates etc. Ergo I have much more fun being a Doggy Auntie to a pair of Miniature Schnauzers and a black Labrador.

I'm the one who buys them loads of treats and the most annoying squeaky toys I can find.

There seems to be a lot of white cars around here. I had an A60 which was white with a red strip. I vowed never to get another that colour as it had to be constantly washed. Some years later I got a big white van. Never learn.

I worked for a company where we were issued with white Ford Sierra's. By decree of the local MD, who was not my boss. He had been a colleague at another company. Was a first water kno*.
We also had to park them in a particular alignment.
I spent my week travelling the UK and Europe.
One Monday he sent for me to tell me my car was dirty. I gave him the keys and left him to deal with it.
Shortly, the Americans (money) arrived and he was gone.
That created a certain (mistaken) mythology about my powers.

My VW van is white. It's a non-ongoing restoration project these days but I used it daily for many years. I never minded to colour to be honest. Yes, it shows dirt but I found white a pretty forgiving colour in other respects. It suits someone like me who doesn't wash or polish very often as it always cleans up very well.

Also, if you are like me and hold on to things way past their best before date, it's easier to hide any minor rust repairs in white i think. I've always found it much harder to touch up the paint on a dark coloured car and have it match.

I think white needs contrast to look well. It works on my VW because of the black bumpers and wheelarch trims. It can look terrible (IMO) on some modern cars with body coloured bumpers as it's just too much white.

Yes it's a lot easier they are not too fast and stop as soon as you let go of the handle. Normally it separate to the deadman's handle so you can still cut without the self propelled being on. It wont work the other way round. How manoeuvrable it is mostly depends of the design and weight of the mover. As long as the curves are not hair pin ones than it will be just find. You will mostly find its quicker to cut too and much less work noticeable on hot sunny days.
Thank you for your reply.
The curves are fairly gentle sweeping curves, rather than tight bends.

Will they let you try it in the shop ? Give you an idea what’s it like if they are both electric they are a lot lighter. So easier to move around anyway you may find the smaller one is just as easy.

Yes, they have a large selection on shelves. The very helpful lady who knows what she is talking about, said that people can try the mowers. I thought I would need to work out what I am looking for, before going to the showroom.

I have tried the G Tech one and that is lightweight. G Tech HQ is in Worcestershire, but I think they are entirely made in the far east.

Since narrowing it down to the two Husqvana, I have found out that Haytor is a British manufacturer.

Why are there so many grey cars around?
Is it because the fashion people who decide what colours are going to be in vogue in the future have been looking to the sky for inspiration?
The problem with many cars of the same colour is trying to find yours in a big car park. Many years ago a couple of work colleagues and I went to Milton Keynes Bowl to see Guns'N'Roses and sensibly noted down the car park code letter & location of where the driver had parked his car. Walking back afterwards I'll always remember the anguished shout of someone else looking for their car of "Just how bl**dy many red Ford Escorts are there?"
