Morning.
The sun is up and casting a shadow of a house onto the house opposite.
It is the start of the GP qualifying and my friend is bringing his car round to be worked on. Bu99er!

My little finger which I damaged when I fell off still hurts a bit but I can almost clench my fist. I can carry a mug in that hand but can't grip very tightly with it yet. I don't know what I did to it when I went down. I'm afraid I won't be doing the TdF this year!

A trip to my parent today to help him choose replacement tiles for the two bathrooms that were damaged when a flood hit his village in January. Apparently the insurance company's a bit stingy so the ones first proposed by the re-construction firm are out of budget. Off to Grantham to have a look then for us ...

... then, after lunch, it'll be several trips to the tip to take damaged furniture, carpets and other items that were in a large shed outside but were missed in the clean-up. I might do that with the car windows open as they're

Slow progress over in the magpie nest. They seem to clock off around 9am. I wonder whether they are doing their twig twiddling at a second site. Mind you, the forecast moderate breeze is a bit immoderate this morning and the tree's branches are having a bit of a dance so perhaps it doesn't feel like nest building weather.

Perhaps you should rent an open trailer, then. So the car does not get smelly (and toxic).

Nice idea, but the CR-V doesn't have a towbar. And it's a 5 minute drive at the most.

I've plastic sheeting for the boot so should be OK.
