from the East Midlands. Miserable combination of drizzle followed by mist and fog for the drive and it's still overcast and grey.
Half a flask of coffee has already been had to keep warm, but the racing's been good so far. Having had the F1 on the car radio on the way up, I've just seen the latest updates

Lots of birds flitting around in the garden, today, including some Goldfinches taking some of the sheep wool that I'd put in a couple of the cages on the bird feeder..
Busiest I've seen it for ages 😎

A colleague was coughing and spluttering behind me on Friday.

I'm now in bed coughing and spluttering.

It would have been better for everyone, particularly me, if they'd stayed at home rather than come in and I'll let them know that next week .

Rain turned torrential later yesterday with consequential flooded roads. Still coming down this morning for a while then eventually the sun made a brief appearance. Co-Op trek for a bag of oranges and found a Strawberry jam/conserve without a stupidly early use within date one opened on it.

My magpies are now fully reinstalled. They just had an epic battle to chase a squirrel away and one of them kept ceasing combat to go and sit on the nest so perhaps she's laid.

Took the remote control socket strip that blew up a few days apart in expectation of finding a blown capacitor and hence potentially repairable. Instead a blown integrated circuit so definitely one for the small appliances recycling bin in B &Q.

new car due in 3 weeks has sensors and a camera so hopefully she will be a bit better .
