Good morning from Suffolk where it's starting to clear up after a wet & miserable start to the day. Today feels like it's going to be a two coffee morning before I start to feel normal - whatever that is.

While it dries up outside some domestics will need to be done before I head out for a shopping type bike ride.

I don't know about the bikes themselves, but last year British Cycling decided there were 'Women' and 'Open' categories. If you were born female you could enter the 'Women's category, and anyone can enter the 'Open' category, with female riders racing a category down.

I've come into Leeds for a viva (that's the 'oral examination' version, not the Vauxhall type) due to queries with their submission.

The student didn't attend.

By not attending the less unpleasant viva meeting they've missed the opportunity to avoid having the more unpleasant investigatory meeting. Their choice.

Second coffee has been had, vacuuming done and a couple of dry looking chains have been oiled (I must have a proper clean and lube chains day for all the bikes).
The shopping list has been written, put into wallet and wallet put into backpack so I can't forget it. Time to head out.

I had to perform a bit of fixing on my Saxaphone. The swan neck bit has a gave on it which is operated from the main body when they are connected. There wasn't any clearance in the mechanism when the 2 parts came together so I had to remove one bit and do a bit of gentle bending. I reassembled the parts and it now works properly. So I saved a bit of money by not taking it to a repairer.
Like my Avatar says, I'll have a go.
