I should have included the fact that it's where I'm from.

THAT SAID, I am not sure I ever had a 694.

One of my faves was the 253 Warwickshire, as I only ever saw one... Ever... And I have it tucked away somewhere.

Another favourite is a Victorian half pint from... Somewhere in the east end of London anyway.

Strangely, the rarest ones I have found to be are the Scottish ones, Cornish and Welsh, with me never actually finding any from Cornwall.

Somerset, Dorset, Bath and Avon, yes, but nothing west of Saltash...

I no longer collect, so things might have changed.

It was more the numbers, because I realise that if you collect every number and every brewery and every whatever else, then you'll need a warehouse just to store it all!

With 2000 odd numbers, it was already a huge (and probably impossible) task anyway.

Next time I go into the kitchen (I'm in bed, although I need the bog anyway), I'll post the number of the George the 6th glass from York, which seems to be made from the most brittle glass EVER, leading me to wonder if it was a WW2 era one, made from substandard materials.

I also have in the kitchen, a 6, 18, 299, 366 and two 562s'.

Nothing rare per say, they are just sat on the worktop, untouched for yonks 😊😂

Yes, the numbers correspond to the weights and measures office where a glass or other equipment was passed for legal use in a pub. It's why many were geographical (although some like 478 St Helens, alludes to a factory, and many of those numbers are the most common by far).

There are some good listings, but most are utterly useless because nobody thinks to mention the number and their pictures are shite. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Oh, tell me about it. I have the same problem with "Spedeweek" stock car programmes.

My timespan of interest for my archive are those from March '81 through to November '85. All the ones from '83 onwards have the date and issue number on the front cover, as well as listing the meetings that the programme features. That's fine - just match the fixture list and race results list from "Wheelspin" to the info on the front cover, and Robert's your mother's brother.

The pre '83 programmes only have the issue number on the front cover. So unless you know which issue number you're after, or the seller has listed the meeting details / date , it's pretty well much pot luck. And I simply don't have enough of them to be able to triangulate the "mystery" ones.

Added problem is that my background is circuit racing and not short oval. So while I know a lot, I'm still flying blind in a lot of instances, mainly because I'm not familiar with the fine details. Fortunately I can "phone a friend" as it were, but still...
