Work visits this AM and more loose chippings encountered:angry: Very quite A61 as it was shut because of an accident but no warning until you reached the junction prior which had made me think it could have reopened. A slow journey thence a car behind a motorhome through Bishop Monkton before leaving that crawl by going through Littlethorpe.
Car given half a tank of fuel as the low warning light potentially was going to come on at Boroughbridge. Thence Knaresborough and Starbeck before stopping at the hospital to pick my prescription up from Monday. Wasn't ready, had to wait a good half hour in the company of a bottle of spring water from the cafe.
A very late lunch followed when back home.

Off camping by Llyn Tegid (Bala) next week. Slight issue is there is a toxic algae bloom due to the weather. MrsF won't be able to swim in it if it doesn't die down. Taking a kayak just in case.

Doesn't affect my bike riding though.

I did a lovely ride from Vrynwy to Bala & back quite a while ago.. Big hills if I remember correctly!!

Evening.
It has been a busy day. Had to take my wife to a Swindon clinic type hospital this morning. They have booked her in next week to have a cataract done next week.
This afternoon we had to collect the grand kids from school.
Later this afternoon my brother dropped that Raleigh bike that I might have told you about. It is a Carlton Corsa in pretty good condition with a bit of rust from where it had been left outside.

If you know the Houthis like I know the Houthis!

I'm back from a lovely walk by the south coast. A gentle 24 degrees, walking along the old military canal west of Hythe. The birds were really loud. Got a glimpse of a kingfisher and saw the fluffiest robin in mid-moult. And everybody on the path was really friendly, in contrast with the citizens of Hythe itself. Though, of course, the glorious weather helped put them all in a good mood.

Back now after a busy day. The day started with going out to find my front number plate broken, I assume by the two brats that live next door. They've been known to damage cars before in here and are always bouncing balls of them and climbing over the top of them. I once found them standing on the roof of the Fabia when I had it. Undecided if it's worthwhile to have a word with the parents. They don't seem to care.

Appointment was a waste of time as I knew it would be. I decided to get my money's worth by asking questions about it but just got ushered out the door!

I climbed a small mountain (Knocknarae) for the first time since the accident. I've been threatening to try something like this for a while and choose this one as it's a good path to the top. Going up was fine but my ankle was really starting to hurt on the way back down again  I think I will just have to accept I'll never be the same as I was before.

I then went for a drive to have a look around somewhere I am considering for a cycling trip as there is a hostel there. Looks to have options for routes.

If it's the first time since the incident, there's every chance you've just used it too much in one go. Don't think it can only be worse than before. It may never be better than it was, but that doesn't mean it can't be the same as before.

Don't accept that you'll only be worse afterwards. Do that and you will end up worse than before.
