Mist is clearing over Llyn Tegid and the sun poking through nicely. Keep hearing fast jets in the area (F35's if like yesterday) but they have yet to hoon it over...
Not been here 24 hours and we've had F35's, F15's, Hawks and a fair few Texans go over. Last year it was a daily A400 military transport and Texans. Will be quiet after today as they have the weekend off.
Good morning from a 9th floor hotel room in sunny Nottingham. Today's view is a bit of the city centre, a bit of the Britannia Hotel and a bit of clear blue sky.
The customary post hotel breakfast rest is being had before I head off to the train station sometime in the next 20 minutes.
A mile paddled and MrsF got off at the end for a 30 minute swim in the lake as I paddled alongside. Definitely MrsF with an uneven padle stroke. I went in the back this time. She's paddling too hard and not tapping the water so we spin off course. Definitely doesn't sail as straight as the padle board but the board was a much better quality/twice the price. Bluefin board vs a Decathlon Itiwit 100 kayak.
Good fun though and relaxing.
I have been sorting of gardnin. I was sent out to discover why some of our water butts were dry. 2 had sprung leaks. A row of 5 the 2nd and 5th had leaks. The second butt couldn't supply the next ones in the chain with water. I have got them drying out inside. I may crawl inside later and see if I can seal them from the inside. My next job was a wooden seat which had gone wobbly. The tennon joints had shrunk. I put some long screws in and then ran out of screws. I also connected 2 other water butts to drain pipes. We probably won't have any rain for ages now.
I've received the account credit refund from Octopus that I requested last week. When I get home a small spending spree may be had on another away day and rail tickets.
