I woke up at around 4am and heard rain, at which point I decided to have a lie in and went back to sleep until 8:30. I remember when lie ins would take me up to midday but now 8:30 is about as late as I can get. Damp, still, grey.

Good morning from a grey & overcast Suffolk. The weather forecast is for something called 'rain' later - I must remember to look that word up to see what it means.

Coffee has been had after another good night's sleep and an extended lie in listening to the radio, so let's see what the rest of the day brings once I've had a late breakfast/early elevensies.

I've just managed to use a half-dozen eggs before they go a country mile further than their sell-by date. This is a rare occurrence.

The light rain has passed through much earlier than originally forecast and is now leaving the south coast ~6 hours ahead of schedule!

Food delivery has been delivered
And my lunchtime curry has now cooled enough to eat
