My eye test went well. I don't have to have anything as my present glasses are fine. My migraines last week must have been due to nothing on blood thinners.

3 mugs of tea, 1 of coffee and the crows are no show. I now think that the pair that I saw yesterday standing on the lip of the nest were actually on the point of abandoning the nest. So, maybe predators got the brood and the nest is now empty. Sad.

Did let me watch the Giro highlights
Switched it off to watch the news and when I tried switching it back on a faulty display sprung up. No luck leaving it unplugged and then trying so looks terminal.

Yet another day of here, but cool like yesterday. Tried out varifocals for the first time on today’s ride, they seem to be a success. I can now read my watch etc as well as being able to see where I’m going.
Rain due tomorrow, the first for many weeks.

Off for a Dexa scan later. Not expecting it to find any issues, but my consultant asked for it to be done. Also got a letter from physio asking for a ultrasound of my shoulder - he suspects I have a torn rotator cuff. Might just drop the letter into the GP practice and see what they do with it.

my late Father bought me a really nice pair about 12 years ago. they're toast. I found the same ones, same size, in good condition for 1/3 the price of a new pair ...

every time I put them on (for the past 12 years) I remember the Christmas he gave them to me & our convo:
me "wow these are great! I can shovel snow in these!"
Dad, laughing: "NO! don't shovel snow in those!"

or should I cough up the $$ he did, I just buy a new pair?
