It's been a cool day with sunshine and showers here chez Casa Reynard after overnight rain.

Did not sleep well, and so I've felt distinctly sub-par today. Had a quiet morning - finished the mending. Didn't fancy luncheon, so just spent the first part of the afternoon writing.

After, I tootled into town to do a few errands. Ground ginger was acquired. Also acquired a pack with two 100w light bulbs (I had to replace the one in the sitting room overhead light fixture), a pair of rubber-coated gardening gloves for the parental. two big packs of compost (need to repot my triffids), a litre of Big Tom tomato fertilizer and a co-ax cable.

The spare signal booster is dud - as I thought it might be. But with a bit of jiggery pokery, I've got the downstairs TV working reasonably well again. Will look elsewhere for a signal booster. Wish I hadn't wasted money on the cable now, but there was no way of testing the spare signal booster without it. I will probably take it back for a refund.

Had a gammon, cheese & coleslaw sandwich and a :cuppa: for supper.

Now listening to the T20 cricket on the radio.

I only had to work until one today, but it was all a bit stressed and hectic with things going wrong.

Weather was mostly dry today but I didn't do too much in the afternoon. I hadn't slept well and I felt a bit lethargic.

I had a ticket to see an open air production of Shakespeare's Twelfth Night which was held at an old army base right on the top of a cliff. I really enjoyed it, but deceptively cold for June. I've felt warmer at the seaside in February.

And you've come home with no desire to be seen in cross-gartered yellow stockings? ;)

I saw this contraption today. Certainly a novelty phone.

"Oi! You're wanted on the phone sheep!"

There's the same production at Chatsworth House in Derbyshire later this month and I've got tickets.

Twelfth Night (As You Like It) is one of my favourite plays. Never mind favourite Shakespeare play.

I left no ring with her
What means this lady?
Fortune forbid my outsides
Hath not charmed her...

or

Gentlemen! Have you no sense of time nor place
As to gabble like tinkers at this time of night?

Yep. I'm a nerd

It's the piece that we'd to read, review and report on in my final year at school. Think what I wrote was longer than the actual original.
The fact that there'd have been a man playing the part of a woman playing the part of a man.

My "If music be the food of love, then why don't rabbits play banjos..." didn't go down too well though.

I think it's time I headed off to get some sleep.

Nunnight one and all xxx :hello:
