What a lovely day spent with my immediate family celebrating my late father's life.
Ate too much snacky type food and had at least 4 cuppas that are still to come out.
Breezy for sure .

Office tomorrow and its a wet day so looks like an early start for a parking place.
Towels and sheets were dragged back in at 4 well dried in the gusts.

Laundry collected and uneventful ride back to Lamlash. I cleaned and oiled the chain and cleaned the rims before putting the bike away. Hopefully the brakes will stop squealing now.

I managed to clock up over twenty miles today without really going anywhere, just sorting of utility riding.

I was talking to some of the camper van fraternity that were parked along Brodick sea front, including one a Citroen C15-based Romahome, something I'd actually like to own as a lover of quirky French cars.

Another couple had travelled from somewhere in Wales in separate camper vans. The secret of a happy marriage I suppose!

Placed several adverts in local papers for a flat. Will have to see what comes of it.

Also made some flyers for our village: an acquaintance, who is better at networking than me, knows several families who have an empty flat they aren't advertising.

Very windy, here on west coast of Ireland.
But the rain has paused.

The rain pause was short. The revenge was wholehearted and fulsome. Ireland gas returned to being the emerald Isle. I think, though the rain haze makes any clear conclusion difficult.
2 days, no cycling.

It's been a warm, blustery and mostly overcast day here chez Casa Reynard.

Slept well, but I feel rather meh. I think Saturday has caught up with me. Amongst other things. Ergo I have had a very quiet day, supping on tea, working on two writing projects and listening to the cricket.

I did have to pop to Littleport to drop off the parental's prescription.

Now sat watching Gems TV (yeah, I know LOL!) and generally chilling.

Finally had confirmation from the rainforest website that they'll be issuing a refund for a non-delivered item. Don't know what's happened, but the 3rd party seller has had a lot of recent negative reviews which have all been appended with "The fulfilment issues associated with this order were not due to the seller".
