Another nice day, although it's come on wet now.
A day spent playing with tractors. I took my Fordson to a local vintage tractor show. It hasn't been out much in a long time. I should have greased the kingpins as the steering is extremely heavy. Looks like a front wheel bearing is beginning to fail too. Sitting around does these things no favours. I must give it a proper service over the winter.
Now out for my usual Sunday evening music fix. The special guest played a lot of Doors songs

It's been a very warm and mostly sunny day here chez Casa Reynard.
Slept well, though it took me a long time to drop off. So treated myself to a nice lie in. That was about as relaxed as my day got, because I've spent a lot of time in the kitchen amongst other things. Today's culinary endeavours included a Jamaican chicken curry to use up the jerk chicken I bought in Waitrose, and a Zwetschenkuchen to use up some plums that were in danger of becoming overripe.
The curry is for tomorrow, but I just might have had a slice of the kuchen...
The rest of the day was spent in the garage carrying on with the tidying up. Right now, it doesn't *look* tidy, but once the pile of stuff destined for the tip gets taken there, I'll have a lot of extra floor space. Which means I will have plenty of room to service the mower's cutting deck. I think I swept about four buckets of rubbish off the floor. Mice have gotten into the dust sheets etc covering my Mini, so I need to get those off, shake them out, wash them and put them back. One was chewed beyond salvage where it's been tucked up against the wall, and another has perished and split, so that is on the pile of stuff destined for the tip.
I am planning on a nice and relaxing evening.

The late afternoon bike ride was just what was needed. Just 15 miles on some very quiet roads and with a cooling breeze.
There's one little section that runs parallel to the A14 and it's full of blackberries just waiting to be picked and this could be a very good year for home sloe gin makers.
