Just finished putting preservative on one of our fences that runs twixt us and the allotments. As I was mixing two brands of different colours, it was interesting to watch how the shades varied as I progressed along the length due to my variable mixing and diluting as needed - !

I have always wanted a Leeds United phone cover,but even I can't pay £18 for a bit of plastic or rubber.So I went in to the United shop in Leeds.I bought some transfers,I now have my phone ☎ cover plus I went all teenagery,on my chromebook how old am I 75.

I'd spent so long dithering about where to go on the Yorkshire coast that the cheap offers had nearly all disappeared. So I surprised myself by booking a cheap seaside hotel room on the south coast instead. Tonight, I'll be getting Folkestoned!

Tried to order from Amazon using their app at lunchtime but it seemed to have only Prime or £4.99 delivery and not the free option. Opened the basket on the laptop and the free non-prime option appeared. Pair of slippers down from £40 to £23 plus a pack of pens and twin line floss sticks. Meant to be Monday delivery, odds on it being sooner based on past experience.

Looks like some birds have headed for warmer climbs. After topping the seed feeder up each evening by the following its fallen to the top feeding holes but today its a good inch higher.

It's been a grey and drab day here chez Casa Reynard, neither warm nor chilly, and not much of a breeze.

Slept well. Had another quiet morning cutting back some bits in the garden. That included doing the mint - some of which I kept back. The best leaves got put in the freezer, the remainder has been spread out to dry.

Unusually today the further south and east I travelled the more miserable it got, ending up at home under a dull grey sky. Not helped by noticing from the train that I'd left the bathroom window open on Thursday and the house was a bit chilly when I got in.

I'm still undecided about Silverstone on Sunday and will need to make my mind up before I go food shopping on Saturday.

I already have a Saltire Card, aka bus pass, and that’s all I’m needing.

I don't plan on working again, so that's me not needing a digital ID card either.
