Good morning from Suffolk where the bright & sunny start to the day has given way to a layer of grey cloud cover. Coffee has been had.

The plan for today was to stick a bike in the boot of the car and head off to Cambridge for a loop up to Ely and back but
Bit drizzly here in Hamtun ☔
prompted me to have a look at the rain radar as it was supposed to have been a dry day and it looks quite wet in that area as well

Wonder if it will have cleared through in about an hour and a half when I get there?

It's forecast to be wet and windy from Friday pm till Sunday afternoon 😞
That's why I wanted to get out today and then have Thursday local doing other bits & pieces. Some of the unforecast wetness has finally made its way to near the east coast after a few spots of drizzle while out shopping earlier. I can see an afternoon on the sofa with the radio & Private Eye which has just been delivered.

It's been a warm but grey day here chez Casa Reynard, with the un-forecast rain lasting till nearly 1pm.

Slept well, but still not feeling great. Nose and sinuses still rather drippy, and the get-up-and-go is still AWOL. I had a choresy morning though, which included prepping the fruit for the crumble that will be shoved into the oven later on.

Wasn't up to luncheon. Went to the plumbing place in Littleport, but was only moderately successful. They do have a wide selection of service valves for 15mm pipes in stock and should have something suitable to replace the broken valve, but now the issue is that they come with all sorts of different-sized screw threads and push fittings. Or both.

So I'm going to have to take the old one off, and go back with it to see what would work best as a replacement. I shall probably do that on Friday, as I have a couple of outdoors tasks planned for tomorrow to do before the storm hits.

I think you were right to can the bike ride @Jenkins as it was thoroughly miserable here this morning. Not much in the way of a breeze, so it took ages to move through. Just as well my weekly dog walk was postponed because we'd have gotten drookit.
