Hercules 2 and I saw the sun. This is where it ended.
Very enjoyable

Found in the Yorkshire hills ...
Mobile internet went down for a bit so I went to look at bits of the wall built to keep the Scots out. Maybe we should have left it as it was

What was evident was how much of the big wall had been pinched to make nearby farm walls.

Post WAH panic. New insurer fot the car wanted no claims proof.
Picked up the letter from the previous insurer and didn't read it fully as it was going on about the insurance ending. After a hunt through various piles of papers l reread the letter and the final paragraoh had the no claims in it.
Amazon then delivered a bag of bird seed. Best cancel that standing order as its the suet balls in a larger bird deterring cage that are getting demolished instead , Sainsbury's ones, 10 for £1.50.

It's been a mostly sunny but blustery and rather chilly day here chez Casa Reynard.

Slept well, and overslept horribly - outsleeping both @Jenkins and @deptfordmarmoset by quite some margin! Ergo a gentle morning was had, putting away last night's shopping and catching up with the little things that wanted doing.

Lovely luncheon of toast, chorizo, a banana, a pear and a :cuppa:

This afternoon was dedicated to a bicycular bimble, but it wasn't enjoyable on account of the bitter wind. Still, I got out for some fresh air, but I'm still defrosting. :cold:

Never been there before. Might take train there and mooch about
The sun was going and it was getting cold. Hence the train extraction
With my old codgers pass it was less than a fiver to get home.

The Coastal Path goes most of the way around the towns; Birchington, Margate, Broadstairs & Ramsgate.
It's a lovely bimble ( @Oldhippy is the resident expert on the route 👍)

It makes for good voyeuristic television apparently. I've never watched it and don't intend to.

Neither have I. I just don't "get" it, and in any case, having gone to school with Claudia Winkleman, she still annoys me immensely.

I finally got out on my Pashley for a decent twenty mile ride. Very pleased with it. It's a different riding experience but pretty responsive and is deceptively fast once you get going. Then you arrive at a sharp corner and remember you have the steering geometry of a vintage roadster. It's so smooth though, it's like going down the road on your favourite armchair. Also completely silent. The five speed hub doesn't have the distinctive Sturmey tick.

I did get soaked though and plastered in mud as I was on country lanes. Reminds me why I always fit mudguards to all my bikes.

I stopped to take a picture and some random guy was admiring it and asking how old it was. I told him it was a modern replica of a '30s pathracer. I do wonder why Pashley ruined the lines of the frame with a bottle cage. It should be put on the bars.
