I think I might have got my wires crossed!
I have been getting a few phantom gear changes whilst out on my Synapse. Having to feed all the cables through the frame I think the front and rear mech cables might have crossed. 8 think I might have to pull the front mech cable back out and do it again. With the rear mech cable under tension it should pull itself to one side out of the way. I hope!

I was just wondering! Did the French onion sellers actually come over here selling onions way back in the mists of time? If they did did they bring the onions here or buy some when they got here and just sell them on?

Talking about cats. I used to get excited when our cats were about to have kittens. They were part of our family and I was adopted by them. Puss knew her place in our family and I was one of her unruly kittens. I had scratches to prove it. I was also their kitten minder which allowed them free time during the day to go off hunting. I miss the little ones scampering around.

That's how son no. 2's new cat arrived. It was on Gumtree very locally and, having met the new arrival, suits him perfectly.

Good morning from a miserably overcast but currently dry Suffolk. Coffee has been had after a very good night's sleep.

While it's still dry, I've got to pop out and get some food & drink for the next few days. Once that's been done I'll see what (if anything) I fancy doing in the afternoon.

Bit more water added to the central heating system and then fired the boiler up for the first time at this end of the year. A quick walk round with a screwdriver to bleed the radiators and as usual the only one which needed it was in the bathroom at the end of the run. Seems to be running quite nicely, but I'll see what the result of the service is at the end of November - a quick check shows a decent new one can be supplied & fitted for under £4k which may be a treat to myself next year from savings interest payouts.

Pretty sure we paid £2k for ours a couple of months ago

Why does it start raining only after you've committed to the longer route home on the bike? Wet and miserable weather looks to be set in for a while, so another coffee and a sarnie and then possibly off out by train for a couple of hours in a pub with a book.

I have been rounding up tools and parts to do work on my wife's car. A new lower front wishbone, discs and pads.

How do I get rid of very annoying "pop ups" on my puter. Macfee and/or Noton are telling me that my protection has expired, which is strange as I have never had either.

If I click on "Close" it gives me a full screen version.
