The wee plastic tab thing has pulled off the zip on my favourite fleece top.
Can you fix it?

It's been a raw, soggy and squelchy day here chez Casa Reynard.

I did not sleep well, and so feel rather meh. Got the basic chores out of the way this morning - firewood, emptying the ashes and kitchen peelings, litter trays, restocking the fruit bowls, all that sort of stuff.

Lovely luncheon of a chicken sandwich, a pear and a :cuppa:

Had a nice quiet afternoon parked in front of the TV, watching the horse racing. Then at tea time, off into town to check out some things / pick up some bits in peacocks, B&M and Waitrose.

Peacocks was a bit of a bust - their website is cheaper than in-store. Never mind, I shall wait to chance my arm in the sales instead. B&M was almost completely successful. They were sold out of their Garfield cat litter (corn based, similar to the Benek Corn I was buying on Zooplus), so had to get some Hello Kitty betonite stuff instead. Clumping is the way to go, as it's much more scoopable. And I find cats don't really like the wood or paper pellets. That said, I got the insulating strips I need to finish off draught-proofing the kitchen windows, a wooden curtain pole to install a portiere on the sitting room door, and a pair of Christmassy jimjams that were less than half the price of the ones in Peacocks.

Popped into Waitrose for my favourite Menthos peppermint sweets (Tesco stopped stocking them) and some of their own-brand Gold leaf tea. Also picked up some corned beef on sticker, and some dry aged beef trimmings on sticker. So pretty successful.

A comforting supper of the last of the bacon, veg & barley soup, then avocado on toast, with roast tomatoes, baked beans, and a fried egg plonked on top.

A quiet evening is planned.

Sixty two years ago today.

JFK, I presume.

Porridge Pots, blueberries & bananas... Occasionally sandwiches & no pork pies!

That was well done. I just read your ride/ trip / adventure! 100 miles a day on a bike! Doing that in my car day after day would get a visit from the fairies. I wouldn't know where to start. Oh possibly Lands End or Jon O' Groats!
A very interesting read and very well done to you!
