A dull, grey and very soggy day here chez Casa Reynard.

Slept well. Had intended on a quiet day, but instead it's been filled with doing stuff. That said, it's been a *good* busy, though in a steady and un-hectic way. Basic chores done this morning i.e. grate, litter trays, etc, etc, etc.

Lovely luncheon of wholegrain rye bread, corned beef, an apple, a tangerine and a :cuppa:

This afternoon's tasks included laundry, making a fresh pot of soup and topping up all the wood bins in the house.

A quiet evening watching the snooker is planned.

I have,apparently, won £15 on the People’s Postcode Lottery 😀

I've been wondering why Pete Hegsmith always stands as though he's poised to whip a Colt 45 from each trouser pocket at a split second's notice. Does he practice in the mirror?
It's rather odd.

A miserably grey and damp afternoon.

Having had toast instead of the biscuit, I went out for a walk to Morrisons to pick up some travel snacks for Friday and a super toastie loaf to put in the freezer. Unfortunately the sausage roll didn't survive the walk home.

Once home I did a bit of tidying up in the back garden - the neighbour's tree seems to have shed most of its leaves into my garden and the wind combined with the recent wetness had settled them into a long line along the fence which made it fairly easy to pick most of them up and stick them in a black sack for disposal.

The train tickets for the weekend at the end of February also got put on sale today so they have been purchased. While checking out the route options for anther trip in late March, I found that Trainline had an outbound ticket available for the preferred journey for £20 (less than the price of 3 gallons of diesel) so that got picked up as well.

The overnight bag has been sorted and placed by the front door ready for the morning, the evening's hot chocolate has been had and the heating timer switched off for while I'm away on Friday.

All at sea⛵
Fix my dick, part 3.
Another day.
This one in the quagmire of clay and dross that was under the deck.
Still got the muddy mess, but the dross is gone.
All the rubble cleared and in the skip
The old membrane removed and in the skip.
The chopped up sleepers ready for the journey to the skip

Have started putting the level points for the 4x4 supports. Oversize but this has to see me out
Found the guys at Jewson and Screwfix very helpful, in return for money.
Hopefully install the timber tomorrow.

Completion date is under review.

Why didn't anyone tell me about the two drain access points that are under the deck?
Caused a bit of a design rethink.

Oh, and it rained gently most of the day.
