Didnt sleep well last night as i am was in full man flu mode last night and we have another potential house buyer coming around this morning, im worried about the financial implications of the move where the rest of the family still believes in the money fairy who will always provide but i cant get it through to them.

I wish to report about the earthquake in Lancashire.I have it on good authority the epicentre was in Accrington,and to stop rumours,it was Accy's bedroom wardrobe that fell over and not an earthquake as some are reporting.he is as i type still sorting his smoking jackets out.

Good morning from a 5th floor hotel room in damp and overcast Leeds where today's view is of the A58 & Wellington Road.

Coffee and a shower have been had making it almost time to go into town and have some breakfast whilst trying to dodge all the Ch****mas tat stalls - which isn't easy as they're all over the place.

Yes he has. He is really regretting buying the cheap sat-nav from Temu.

Looks a reasonably promising morning here. Breakfast was served today on a rectangular plate. I got given a Christmas napkin this morning, so all set for the season of good will!

Today's plans as yet undetermined, but won't be too stressful. I feel tired still as I've been struggling to sleep recently due to work nonsense. I need an easy day. Maybe a coastal perambulation.

The trouble with that sort of "Magical thinking" is that when problems arise, people often blame those who expressed concern in the first place, and "forget" your warnings.

Would sending an email/WhatsApp message with your concerns be a good idea, so at least later they can't pretend they were not warned...

Unfortunately not , i just get accused of being negative etc etc . Told them today that to able to move we really need the asking price on ours.

Be careful do not stretch yourself.I can go back to 1986,it was not the family but inflation that fooked me up.My wage the only money coming in could not keep up with inflation.Eight years of overtime sometimes a night shift followed by an early shift.Worrying about money balancing who to pay each week,turned me in to a bed work bed nutter.One stupid remark brought the whole lot down and we all suffered.Looking back i worked too hard and i must have had some form of mental problem that i refused to deal with.

A dry morning if rather damp underfoot. Books to charity shop and Co-op trek. The latter had credited me the monies for the non working app voucher and I discovered a members offer on Freefrom Mince Pies which make them cheaper than Aldi.
Raining this afternoon.
