Tomorrow will be slightly strange as we had Christmas today due to grandson being away tomorrow lunchtime & granddaughter working..
Lots of food, fun, pressies & slught chaos with the two dogs 'helping' proceedings 😂
You mean to say you've not got a second lot ready for tomorrow!
Could you manage on the leftovers of today?

It's been a bright but somewhat chilly day here chez Casa Reynard.

Sleep was middling. Leg is continuing to improve. Had to put a fresh dressing on, as the one the nurse put on the other day suddenly decided to not be sticky anymore.

A busy morning of food prep and chores before a quick luncheon of cheese on toast, a pear and a :cuppa:

Then off to Tesco for a spot of yellow stickering, only to find out that they did all the markdowns last night and filled the cabinets this morning. There was still a fair bit left though, but the markdowns weren't that generous and all the best bits were gone. I did manage to score a decent amount of fish, prawns and pork chops half price. I also picked up one of the last remaining "finest" pork shoulder joints on a clubcard offer. I shall divide that into two separate roasting joints.

Anyways, I was done and dusted in Tesco at half four. So an executive decision was made to stop off in Waitrose on the way home. Which ended up being the right decision, as I scored a LOT of fish off the counter for not a lot. I think I got about £100-worth for just shy of £15. Only slight hiccup is that I was beaten to the skate wings, but never mind.

Had a lovely Wigilia (Polish Christmas Eve meal) for supper. Started off with barszcz czerwony (beetroot soup), then had two kinds of herrings, rye bread, salads and home made smoked salmon pate. And we finished off with an apple, quince and spiced brandied fruit crumble (and cream) for afters.

Now sat here by the fire in the company of the cat and listening to carols on Classic FM. Will be making myself a hot chocolate in a little while and tuning into midnight mass on the TV. I'm not sure rocking up to Ely Cathedral in my onesie would be a good idea LOL!
