Lunchtime stroll has not happened as the rain is still falling.

A day of continual gloomy wetness with just a short period where it eased down to gloomy drizzlyness mid afternoon. I used that opportunity to give the car a 50 mile round trip up to Stowmarket and back to get some charge into the battery. Having been stood unused for 3 weeks, I've never had it turn over so slowly before firing up. Perhaps this will be the year I finally get it a new battery, but I've been saying that for the past two years. Hopefully it will be OK now until the end of the month when I'm driving Mum down to Bluewater for a get together with her late sister's family.

Other than that the day's been filled with radio, reading, sitting around, hot & cold drinks and too many snacks.

Office day, in Skipton. So thats 40+ miles and £7.30 parking to claim but management insists it makes sense. Annoyingly petrol is 6.8p/litre cheaper there, why did I fill up last night?
One advantage was lunchtime and a Morrisons close by. Wandered in expecting to purchase little and ended up with a rucksack full of 20% discounted freeform items.

It's been grey and rainy here all day.
I thought I would have a go at doing a bit of art/ modelling, so I bought a bar of Das Terracotta modelling clay. It's rubbish! It doesn't want to bind together, it is like trying to push an air bubble around when you try to make a shape, it also forms cracks as it starts to dry. Any thoughts of carving it once it has dried is out because of the cracks.
