So thats the kitchen looking something like, a few little bits still need sorting but they can wait till tomorrow.
Now sat resting up with a watching the new series of A House Though Time on iPlayer. This time it's war time and looking two apartment blocks. One in London and one in Berlin with both my war time history and social science hats on it's pretty interesting watch.

Second cuppa went down well.
Trip to post office took longer than expected due to a huge queue.

Waitrose visited to use £1.50 worth of vouchers on milk and hake. Then collected a set of long reach screwdrivers from Screwfix and used 45p worth of vouchers on a TV guide and bread in the Co-op.
The purpose of the long reach screwdrivers was not so much their length as their torque. However they also failed to budge the screws in the shredder which died mid week. Odds on it being a blown fuse but as the case refuses to release 4 of the 6 screws it was a terminal visit for it to the recycling site, along with circa 25 year old hifi CD recorder which I found buried at the back of a cupboard.
New shredder ordered to collect from Argos which has a longer run time and the promise of £10 cashback.
Car washed and a stack of moss removed from the roof/hatchback join.

Georgie is on my lap. He has just had some chin rubs and a gentle bite of my finger and is now having a wash. I have been out for a ride earlier, there is a lot water lying around with some water running down a road like a stream. I did 11 miles on my Boardman.

Didn't go anywhere near Ipswich in the end.
While idly browsing electronics I found that the CEX in Bury St. Edmunds had a Panasonic digital camera to replace the one I broke last year at a decent price. Even better was to find that the Canon camera I never use was worth over half the price of Panasonic if traded in for a voucher, so off to Felixstowe to drop off the Canon and I've already received the trade in voucher.
Depending how timings go on Sunday with shopping, I may get the late morning train to Bury to get the Panasonic.

I have been out in the garden for two hours this afternoon. At 4pm the sun dipped below some very tall trees, and I suddenly felt colder.

I feel tired now but I know the fresh air and exercise will improve my mood.

The bamboo pots have arrived, they look very sturdy, and are much heavier than the plastic ones. I also bought some proper "Tee" labels. When I take cuttings, until the plants are quite big it can be difficult to remember the plant name.

I was using "lolly sticks" but the name goes very blurry or the label breaks in half. Fortunately I write the name on both sides of the label, otherwise one side would read Physocarpus, and the rest of the name (Diablo) would rot away.
