SWMBO wants picking up as she got a lift to both hospitals she's at today for work. After which my late father-in-law's optical equipment is being donated to the hospital museum in Wakefield.

It's travelled: Ireland ~ Libya ~ South Africa ~ Northern Ireland and finally to Wakefield as part of their tactile equipment display visitors can play with, after which it goes on the hospital museum circuit.

He'd be pleased with that.

wow, what is it, I wonder

@rockyroller - it's an opticians testing kit with the wall letters/numbers that lights up still plus a whole set of lenses (about 150 of them) with both an adult and child pair of glasses to insert them in. We spent last weekend cleaning everything and making it all work.

The evening's hot chocolate has been had with a shortbread finger. I've spent a few minutes on Google Maps this evening refreshing in my mind the route into and out of Bluewater from the M25 ahead of Monday's outing to take Mum for her family get together.

This afternoon's bike cleaning was slightly complicated by the return of drizzle stopping outside storage of bikes, so I there were three in the kitchen and one in the shed being swapped around as the work was done.
