And that's me done for the day! I didn't die in spite of all the new toxins introduced into my body today. There's something about the radiotherapy stage - the changing, the machines - that gets me really befuddled. I'll be a seasoned expert at it in a short while though.

Have you been tattoed for accuracy?

My radiotherapy was in 2020 during the Lockdown. It made things easier as there was very little traffic, and I could park directly outside the Oncology Unit.

Opened a new whisky tonight. It’s anonymous. All it says on the label is 1994. It’s from the Wine society. Private cask bottling but they are unable to say where it came from, beyond a generic “Speyside”.

It’s very nice

Oh, yes, I got the tattoos tattooed last week. They got lined up with the the big twisty machine today.

Parking at Guys itself is practically impossible. My 4 hours parking at the nearby NCP cost me £35 and it's just inside the congestion charge zone which is £18. But it was unavoidable today.
I checked cab fares and got quoted £33 one way. It's under 4 miles door to door so that rip-off is for emergencies only.
The bus, of course, is free but managing the (in reality short) walk from the bus stop to the Cancer Centre was beyond me today. I'm going to see how I get on with the turbo trainer so I know how pedalling affects me because sitting is bearable. It's a simple, flat route. Also free!

Spent a little over 3 hours this afternoon shuttling all 8 bikes into the bike shed, giving the frames and wheels a quick wipe down and then cleaning & lubing the chains. Hopefully that will be it for another few weeks and I treated myself to the penultimate white chocolate Magnum style ice cream from the freezer.

A water meter reading has been sent in to Anglian Water and that is all I've done since finishing with the bikes and I don't plan on doing anything else for the rest of the evening either.

I forgot that I did have to take a short break from bike things to relieve the postie of a large parcel containing a Pinter - a brew your own beer thingie which I've treated myself to try. Tomorrow morning will be spent getting the first load going and it should be ready in a couple of weeks.
Meanwhile I'm going to have to make do with a hot chocolate this evening.

Hercules 2 and I took the train and then we propelled ourselves to the keep fit session.
He has to stay outside.
Peripheral good news a keep fit chum has managed to machine me a beautiful front wheel spindle. That replaces the original that the numpty at the bike shop chewed up with an Allen key.
It was so sunny I went and bought myself lunch at a nearby German supermarket. Adjourned with Hercules to the seafront, found a quiet corner.
Whilst H rested in the sun I ate my lunch. Then I decided I had no reason to rush home. So, had a little snooze.
Then a gentle cycle into the sun and home. A 40k day altogether
Over dinner the management enquired about my day and where I'd got the sun burn!

Just looked in the mirror.
Yes, I've gone a generous lobster colour. Not good, my UV tolerance is very low and I've been very naughty.

Ooh, let us know how the Pinter goes. And more precisely, does it need cellar-like temperatures? This is a very warm flat and there are no really cool places.
