I picked up a free bike today...

My order basket was £45 and I had a £5 off £50 voucher and this was £5 ^_^

A quiet afternoon in the back garden followed by a just as quiet evening in the armchair. The most taxing thing done has been trying to decide whether to go to Brighton before Southampton or Manchester after it to see a band. The thought of 4+ hours on a single train as much as the cheaper hotel cost swung it in favour of Brighton if I do go.

It's been an overcast and quite pleasant day here chez Casa Reynard.

Did not sleep well. It was already daylight when I finally nodded off, and then only got five hours. So still feeling somewhat under the weather as a result. Downstairs, feed the cat, make a :cuppa: and take it upstairs to do some writing.

Had a decent session, mainly editing and checking for continuity, but generated some new material. Then did the chores at a better hour. That included emptying the mixed recycling receptacles that live upstairs and in the kitchen into the blue wheelie bin, bringing the emptied food caddy in, and watering all the planters. My tomatoes have gone mad on the flower front - if that translates into tomatoes, Houston, I have a problem LOL! Then went out and did some strimmering.

Had a lovely luncheon of wholemeal toast with stratford blue cheese, a banana and a pot of tea.

Spent a bit of time working on a painting this afternoon, before going out and doing another bit of strimmering.

The Anglian Water crew turned up at lunchtime with a mini digger and moved some earth around for about an hour before buggering off again. The single track road outside my gate is currently three feet narrower, which means getting off my drive involves what feels like a gazillion point turn. Hey ho.

Have had a lovely quiet evening of Deadliest Catch and football.

You weren't tempted to drive it away whilst their backs were turned, were you?
