I've had to move the deck chair into the sunshine as it was getting a bit cool in the usual shaded place. Another half hour here with a book and the radio before heading indoors to cook tea.

The early afternoon bike ride for milk took a very enjoyable two and a half hours in light winds and (mostly) sunshine and has also sorted tomorrow's food with a pack of baby potatoes that were reduced to 22p.

Saturdays parcel arrived around 10. Was the bell equipped Garmin mount. Got it fitted to the new bike post WAH with a bit of a struggle. Its one that fits the handlebar but is angled so the Garmin is in line with the stem. The gear and brake cables are rather tight to the stem/handlebar but eventually managed to get the clamp part pass them. Bell is bit of a dull thud but held in place by a security screw so I take that to leave alone.
Evening Aldi trek revealed 4 way temp lights had sprung up on the A59 at the Aldi/B&Q junction. Queues at half 7 were bad enough.

I was advised last evening that a special bread for lunch has been requisitioned. That's why I'm moving at this unearthly hour.

I have to be at an appointment 20 miles away. This now requires Hercules and me to take a later train and pedal furiously.
Then the requisition will be completed by the Kommandant.
So the bread is launched, I will get it to the proove and leave instructions for the actual baking.
What can go wrong?

Well, despite the risks my delegation worked. The product was remotely managed to perfection and appreciation of guests.

I returned later to snatch a survivor for a late lunch.

As a bonus I've spent most of the day cycling and testing local hostelries.

It's been a pleasant and sunny day here chez Casa Reynard.

Slept well, but short changed. Like Saturday and yesterday, still not really feeling it. Just tired and stressed. Downstairs, fed the cat, made a :cuppa: and took it upstairs to do some writing. But the mind wasn't really in it, so found some interesting stuff to read instead.

Chores were done at a decent time. Then I polished all the smears off the car. Colin looks very funny being squeaky clean except for a very dusty roof. While I was at it, checked the oil and coolant levels and filled up the wishy-washy bottle. Sorted out and packed a load of books that will be going to a new home with my friend Simon.

Lovely luncheon of avocado on toast and a :cuppa:

The afternoon was spent doing all those little tasks that need to be done. And I got ahead on a few things too. Green bin and food caddy put out for collection in the morning, planters watered and tray scooped. Yesterday's laundry dried nicely in the sun and has been put away.

Sandwiches and a :cuppa: for supper this evening.

Now just chilling and catching up with the Sumo.
