It may sound odd, but today has been a very relaxed busy day.
Got the bike sorted with a new (used) tyre as the one that picked up the cut yesterday was too damaged to be safe and, as I noticed that they were worn, I changed the rear brake pads while the wheel was out. All done before breakfast, although that turned out to be an hour later than elevensies would have been taken.
With nothing better to do I then took the bike out for a test ride, stopping off at
Halfords on the way home to pick up some brake pads to replenish the spares stock and all went well. Until about 15 minutes after getting home when there was a 'phut' sound followed by the hiss of escaping air which turned out to be the puncture patch giving way on the inner tube again, so that got replaced with a new tube. After a coffee I was just about to have a shower when mum rang, so that wasted another 15 minutes having a natter/catch up.
Since then I've done nothing except cook tea and then put my feet up for the evening. As i said busy but done at a very relaxed pace.
The evening's hot chocolate is just reaching drinking temperature and I'm tempted to have an early night and see if I can get up early enough on Wednesday to get out before it gets too warm and go somewhere by bike for a cooked breakfast rather than lunch.
