46 miles this morning - remembered to take two bottles - blooming suffered last time I took one bottle for a 40 mile gravel ride. One with water, the other carb powder mix. Felt good all the way round, including the climb home. Kit washed, and we've just popped to the local pub for a pint.
The locals of Cheshire need to pay more council tax, my gosh the roads have got worse. Really dodgy when riding under trees and the dappled sunlight - you just can't see the imperfections - some of my route covered the same roads as my gravel route - same bike, different wheels tyres. You really feel it on 28c, not quite the same on 38c knobblies.
Might take the old 653
Ribble out tomorrow on 25c - it's like a magic carpet on crap surfaces.
As expected, we ate there as the owner is Malaysian and his wife from Hong Kong - the food is incredible. Not expensive. Just had two starters and a main as we weren't that hungry. Fabulous. We can't go in without ordering something to eat.
